Mysteries of Chimney Rock Tour provides an in-depth discussion along the Great House Trail about the connection of Chimney Rock to the greater Chacon culture, the significance of the mesa-top Great House, and the day-to-day lives of the ancestral inhabitants of Chimney Rock.

San Juan Mountains Association will host weekly Friday Nature Walks, starting July 4th and continuing through the end of August. Those interested should meet at the Andrews Lake parking area at 10AM. More information is a sjma.org.
A crew of volunteer naturalists can enlighten you while on a pleasant stroll in the San Juan Mountains.
The fun, fact-filled nature hike is moderate. We’ll be moving at a “walking” pace for around 1-2 miles. Wear walking shoes and clothing layers suitable for the mountain weather.
The Great House Tour goes to the top of the mesa ridge for a 360-degree panoramic view of the landscape and a close-up of the two pinnacles with stops along the way to learn about the ancient Puebloan structures.

The Ignacio Community Church's Clothing Closet will provide free clothing, jackets and shoes to the needy every Tuesday and Friday from 10 until 2 at the ELHI Community Center.
